Investigator, Mediator, Arbitrator
JW Furman served as an EEOC Investigator and Mediator for over 17 years, investigating approximately 1,200 discrimination charges and mediating at least 1,500 claims, including administrative charges, civil lawsuits and internal grievances. JW resolved a remarkable 93.5% of the cases she mediated during Fiscal Year 2015 for the Commission. JW has also served as an Arbitrator and Hearing Officer, handling over 200 cases. Her training includes 17 years of continuing training with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and over 1,500 hours of arbitration and mediation training with the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service. JW is available through our firm to do what she has done so well prior to joining us – conduct internal investigations and serve as a Mediator and Arbitrator.
Although JW’s professional career has always focused on employment and labor issues, she also donates her time to serve as a Mediator to help resolve community and family disputes.
