Well-trained supervisors and managers are the first line of defense in preventing employment disputes. Through internal training, we work to ensure that no employment issue ever leaves the workplace without you first having the opportunity to address and attempt to resolve it. Our training programs, including our acclaimed Employer Rights Series, provide supervisors and managers with the tools they need to address the problems they face every day, involving issues such as: harassment and workplace violence; how to document and discipline problem employees and employee problems; hiring and interviewing; conducting meaningful performance appraisals; a supervisor’s rights and responsibilities regarding equal employment opportunity; handling employee medical issues and leaves of absence; and remaining union free. Contact us to tailor a program specifically for your workforce and culture.
More than 6,000 supervisors have attended our Effective Supervisor® program. This convenient, information-packed, full-day program provides supervisors with a fundamental understanding of the law and employer rights. We discuss recent changes to workplace laws and focus on the “growth” areas of increased EEOC enforcement and employment litigation, like disability claims and medical leave. We give supervisors the tools to recognize and respond to situations that could develop into an administrative or legal claim. We’ll go beyond all the legalese and discuss effective leadership and communication skills so that supervisors feel comfortable handling difficult situations and can speak confidently and compassionately when addressing tough issues like layoffs and budgetary cutbacks. Check our Events Calendar for the next Effective Supervisor® program or contact us to schedule an in-house program for your supervisors.
Each year, we’re pleased to host our Client Summit, a full-day, complimentary seminar, where we will give our annual outlook, assess the current status of labor and employment law challenges, and share what we think are the emerging best practices for model employers.
Whether it’s new ACA regulations, changes to the immigration laws or new enforcement initiatives by the EEOC, we keep you up to date with webinars on current topics, from the convenience of your desk. In addition to new topic, we also maintain a library of previously recorded webinars if you missed the live webcast or if your staff needs a refresher on a particular topic.
