This one hour session focuses on changes in the applicable laws that affect employer-sponsored benefit programs. Particular emphasis will be on the provisions of the Pension Protection Act of 2006 that are effective January 1, 2007, and ensuring employer sponsors have the information necessary to comply with that act. Additional discussion will introduce both the final HIPAA regulations issued in December 2006 that establish the acceptable parameters for Wellness Programs as well as the Tax Relief and Health Care Act of 2006 which liberalizes previous restrictions on Health Savings Accounts.
