Lance W. Parmer
Lance Parmer is a shareholder with the firm. Lance represents employers in labor relations matters and employment litigation, including harassment, discrimination, and retaliation cases and cases involving state law employment claims. Lance also counsels and educates employers on all employment related topics.
Originally from LaGrange, Georgia, Lance received his law degree from Cumberland School of Law, in Birmingham, Alabama, where he was an editor of the Cumberland Law Review. He also served as Associate Justice and then Deputy Justice on the Cumberland Honor Court. Lance was a Scholar of Merit and the recipient of the Merit Scholarship, and graduated with honors. Prior to that, Lance graduated cum laude from Auburn University, where he received a B.S. in Political Science and minored in History. In his spare time, Lance enjoys running, hunting, playing golf, and spending time with his wife, Lauren, and two daughters, Collins and Kit.
Lance was named a “Rising Star” and a “Top Attorney” in Civil Litigation by Birmingham Magazine in 2019. Lance was named “Top Attorney” in Employment Law by Birmingham Magazine in 2020 and selected as a Mid-South Rising Star by Super Lawyers in 2020. In August 2020, he was recognized in the 27th Edition of The Best Lawyers in America© and the Inaugural Edition of Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch for his work in labor and employment law. He was again recognized in the second edition of Ones to Watch in August 2021. Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch recognizes lawyers who are earlier in their careers for their outstanding professional excellence in private practice. In October 2021, Lance was recognized as a NextGen in Law by the Birmingham Business Journal.
