Selected as a Rising Star by SuperLawyers and listed on Birmingham Magazine’s Top Attorneys List for Employment, Whitney represents businesses in employment-related disputes and advises employers on avoiding these disputes.
Whitney served as co-counsel in a matter to separate and defend a ten-plaintiff race and retaliation suit, ultimately resulting in all ten cases being resolved in the employer’s favor at summary judgment.
More recently, she served as co-counsel in achieving early dismissal of a lawsuit filed by the EEOC alleging that an employer’s grooming policy was discriminatory. She also defends businesses targeted by ADA access suits.
Whitney regularly speaks and writes on employment law, especially on medical leave and disability issues. She is admitted to practice in state and federal courts in Alabama and Mississippi and she is a proud alumna of Birmingham-Southern College (B.A., 2003) and Vanderbilt University (J.D., 2006).
